Dr. Florence Gazeau, Research Director at NABI Laboratory, UPC - CNRS

Florence Gazeau is internationally recognised for her pioneering work in the field of nanomagnetism applied to medicine. She was awarded the CNRS silver medal in 2024 for her fundamental and applied research on magnetic nanoparticles for imaging and precision therapy. Very recently, Florence Gazeau was elected to the French Academy of Sciences. With her team, she has built a new project within the Université Paris-Cité medical school, which has now become the NABI laboratory for Nanomedicine, Extracellular Biology, Integratome and Innovations in Health. This laboratory is at the forefront of research into nanoparticles and extra-cellular vesicles, and their applications, mainly in medicine (cancer, inflammation, regenerative medicine, etc.).
